Mikhail Alekseevich Gavrilov has voluntarily organized and led the search detachment “Rubezh,” which since 2020 has participated in combat expeditions during the All-Russian Memory Watches in the Republic of Karelia and the Sinyavino Heights area in the Kirovsky district of Leningrad Oblast. Their mission is to locate and bury the remains of soldiers missing since the Great Patriotic War. The detachment includes young men and women from educational institutions in Onega and Arkhangelsk, as well as our colleague Artem Telov. Malamut Trans LLC provided support in preparing the detachment for their latest memory watch.
From April 26 to May 6, “Rubezh,” along with other detachments, stood memory watch at the Sinyavino Heights. The detachment discovered the remains of two Red Army soldiers, which were handed over to the management of the Sinyavino Heights Memorial Complex for burial at the memorial. Unfortunately, identification of the remains was not possible.
