Malamut Trans has successfully completed another stage in the transportation of oversized equipment for its client. As part of the project, the company handled the transshipment of heavy cargo through the port of Pevek.
The shipment included a hydraulic hammer and a crane consisting of four sections, each weighing between 31 and 53 tons. The equipment arrived by sea from Arkhangelsk and will be transported via a winter road to the construction site of a new port in the Chaunskaya Bay area, near Cape Nagleingyn.
The transportation was carried out with full consideration of the challenging climatic conditions and specific requirements of Arctic logistics. The expertise of Malamut Trans specialists and the use of proven routes ensured the safe and precise delivery of the equipment to its next destination.
Cape Nagleingyn (also known as Nagleynyn, Ngagleynyn, Bezymyannyi; Chukchi: Nyglyöŋyn) is a cape in Russia on the western shore of the Chaunskaya Bay in the eastern part of the East Siberian Sea basin. It lies east of the mountain and peninsula of Kyttyk, south of the important Arctic port of Pevek, and north of the estuaries of the Tyeuykuul and Ytykkuulveem rivers. The highest point reaches 134 meters above sea level. Administratively, it belongs to the Chaunsky District of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug.
Pevek is the northernmost town in Russia, located on the coast of the East Siberian Sea in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. Owing to its developed port infrastructure, this Arctic town serves as a key logistics hub for the supply of Chukotka and the implementation of large-scale industrial projects.
