Arkhangelsk-based company MALAMUT TRANS is a joint venture that pools the resources of several Russian logistics operators, enabling the newly established player to tackle challenges on a whole new scale and level of quality.
Pooling Our Strengths
Infrastructure development projects in the Arctic open up new horizons and present new challenges for Russian enterprises. Some of these tasks now exceed the capabilities of individual organizations.
That’s why, in the spring of 2016, several active participants in the transport market considered a development strategy that would allow them to respond swiftly to large-scale client requests.
At the same time, resource allocation away from current projects needed to be minimal, while the quality of response had to meet client expectations. The result was the establishment of MALAMUT TRANS — a new company uniquely focused on supporting logistics projects in Russia’s northern regions.
“By consolidating efforts with like-minded partners, we can significantly increase efficiency and seamlessly connect to new projects,” explains Mikhail Sisyn, CEO of Malamut Trans LLC.
Clients may choose to work with each partner individually; however, if the project is substantial and requires additional resources, personnel, equipment, or technology, MALAMUT TRANS acts as the primary service provider. For certain special services, such as terminal handling and reefer service, the company is open to direct dialogue with customers.
Our Own Terminal
Our facilities include open and covered storage areas, a heated warehouse, and everything necessary for receiving, processing, and preparing cargo — whether bound for port delivery or destined for inland transportation.
To handle heavy reefer containers, we have acquired a Terex crane with a lifting capacity of 75 tons — one of the most powerful in the Arkhangelsk region. The terminal’s technical infrastructure and mechanization guarantee prompt handling of all types of cargo, except bulk liquids. In the near future, we plan to equip additional operational areas to handle hazardous cargo.
Reefer Container Maintenance & Service
After encountering the need for regular reefer container repairs, we established a specialized service for maintaining this type of equipment.
Reefer service is rare in Russia, and even more so in the Arkhangelsk region. It can be extremely difficult to find specialists capable of repairing reefers, and spare parts often have to be sourced from abroad.
We have engaged the best mechanics, and now repair not only our own reefer containers, but also equipment owned by other companies.
Container Fleet
Recognizing the unstoppable growth of cargo containerization, we are continually expanding our container fleet: today, MALAMUT TRANS operates more than 300 standard containers, as well as an equal number of reefer containers.
MALAMUT TRANS may be a formally new enterprise, but behind us lies the wealth of experience of our partner companies, their resources, and strong working relationships with numerous market players. All of this allows us to confidently face the future and solve even the most complex logistics challenges.
